Above is the results of the first question on the questionnaire, the results show that 3/4 of the audience do watch documentaries, this is a good result as it shows there is a large range of audience that can be targeted with only 1/4 of people who do not watch documentaries.

Out of those questioned, the main age range was between 21-40 having 65% and the rest of the 35% is split between the 10-20 and 41+, this is quite a good statistic as it shows that the target audience to hit the most people would be good to aim between 21 and 40.

The graph above shows the statistics of what the most watched tv genre of program is watched, Documentary shows came a close second behind Tv Game shows which backs up there being a large market for Documentaries.

The next question that was asked was the specific type of Documentary that was liked and it was a wide spread between spoof documentaries, animal/wildlife Documentarys and sporting Documentaries, I believe that the best option for me is to aim towards one of those select area's

After looking at the data that I have received back from my questionnaire I can see that:
• Almost 75% of those questioned do watch documentaries, this means that my potential audience I could target is 30 out of every 40 people/
• The vast majority of those questioned are between the age range of 21-40, this may be the perfect age range to be my target audience to get the largest audience.
• Out of 40 people, the type of program that the viewer likes to watch is a documentary 30% of the time against other types of television program as comedy soap operas and tv game shows.
• There is not one distinctive documentary that everyone likes, Animal/nature comes out on top with 35% of those questioned with a share of 25% each for spoof and sporting documentaries.
• Most people watch 10+ hours of television a week, with only 26% of the 40 questioned watching less the 10 hours which is 10 people.
